Chris has always had a passion for the video game ecosystem and a knack for unlocking hidden talents across the industry. Today, Chris is the Co-Founder and CEO aps. and works with his co-founder to help games stay uniquely independent while reaching new fans and dedicated supporters. Outside of aps., Chris serves on the board of the gaming charity LANFEST, plays a ton of Out of The Park Baseball, and gets up way too early to watch F1.
Before starting aps., Chris gained valuable experience working with ESL FACEIT Group, where he focused on esports partnerships and development. He also served as Vice President for Wells Fargo’s Entertainment Finance Group, where he helped finance some of today’s biggest blockbuster films and TV shows. With all that experience under his belt, Chris is excited to apply his knowledge and insights to support you in game development, bringing a deep understanding of the gaming landscape to the table.
Kyle Konsmo has been a driving force in the gaming event scene for over a decade. He played a crucial role in dramatically expanding DreamHack’s festival footprint since 2017, contributing to the success of dozens of events. His efforts have involved major gaming titles and supported emerging games, channelling substantial prize money and enhancing community engagement through collaboration with grassroots organizers. Following his success in event organizing, Kyle transitioned to supporting game developers in Game Partnerships with the ESL FACEIT Group.
Kyle’s enduring commitment to the gaming community is evident through his decade-long involvement with LANFest. Now serving as an advisor, he uses his deep industry knowledge to shape the organization’s strategy and growth. Beyond the gaming world, Kyle’s passions for Disney, aviation (as a former air traffic controller), and retro gaming bring a unique narrative and creative flair to his work, enabling him to craft engaging and memorable experiences.

Partnered with Loadout Entertainment to deliver multiple years of gaming activations across the event, including a 100-PC Freeplay area for families, a streamer studio for content creators, cosplay competitions, voice actor panels, and The Milk Cup—the first all-women Fortnite LAN tournament with a $250,000 prize pool.
Before the early-access launch of BattleBit: Remastered in 2023, we showcased the game at DreamHack. With an engaging expo booth and an E3-style announcement on the DreamHack mainstage, over 3,000 attendees had the chance to play the game. Following its successful launch, the BattleBit team returned to DreamHack with an even larger on-site presence.
After the launch of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the game quickly gained global popularity through DreamHack events. We hosted the first live PUBG community events at DreamHack Summer and Winter 2017. In 2018, DreamHack Austin and Summer featured the first Bluehole-backed esports events, setting the stage for the PUBG Global Invitational later that summer.
We introduced Stormgate to DreamHack Atlanta with its first-ever live esports event, featuring hours of staged exhibition matches with RTS pros. The event also included developer interviews, meet-and-greets, and a prominent presence on the expo floor, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees.
When Krafton released their mobile title New State Mobile, we were tasked with producing the game’s first ever live broadcast and competitive tournament. Using ESL’s studio in Burbank, CA we hosted 2 weekends of competitions and influencer show matches.
In partnership with Loadout Entertainment, aps. was brought in to support the HCS broadcast and ensure proper stat-tracking throughout the entire event.
We ran the live event launch strategy of the game Wildcard across multiple events, including LVL UP Expo, DreamHack Festivals, and LANFEST. These activations included booths where attendees could play and test the game, developer meet-and-greets, community tournaments, exclusive influencer streams, and an on-stage interview with the game’s creators, creating an engaging experience for all.
